Description
Long after Great Britain had moved to stop the traffic of African slaves privateers continued to smuggle slaves in to Cuba and Florida. In these documents the Spanish governor of Sugua, Captain Gral reports to his superiors in Havana. He stresses the urgency of increasing the naval presence along the coast. Included are three early telegrams with words cut and pasted on a large sheet of paper. In total contains a group of 17 manuscript documents, and with the three telegrams, totals in 63 pages, most with official letterhead, of various sizes.
